Acceptable Use Policy
VocalNet, Inc. seeks to create and foster an on-line community that can be used and enjoyed by all its members. To help achieve this goal, VocalNet, Inc. enforces an Acceptable Use Policy.
Although much of what is included here is common sense, VocalNet, Inc. takes these issues very seriously and will enforce its rules to ensure enjoyment by all its members. VocalNet, Inc. therefore has reserved the right to remove any content posted to its system which it deems offensive, inappropriate or in violation of its policies. It also reserves the right to suspend or cancel a subscriber's account for engaging in inappropriate conduct and/or use of Dial-Up accounts for Commercial use. Commercial use may include but is not limited to: Sustained connections for 4 hours or greater at one time, or use of personal web-space" for commercial purposes. (Subscribers, of course, also remain legally responsible for any such acts). Any uptime or service level agreements are not applicable to personal web-space. In using VocalNet, Inc., subscribers accept these restrictions as well as those set forth in the Subscription Agreement and agree to use the system only for lawful purposes and not to use or allow others to use VocalNet, Inc.:
to post or transmit hate speech, threats of physical violence, or harassing content; to post or transmit material in violation of federal or state copyright laws; to post or transmit content that is legally obscene or violates child pornography statutes or contains graphic visual depictions of sexual acts, visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct involving children, or depictions of children, the primary appeal of which is prurient; to post or transmit other sexually oriented material that, in the specific context, is offensive or inappropriate; to post or transmit commercial or bulk e-mail without the prior written approval of VocalNet, Inc.; to post or transmit off-topic or commercial messages on bulletin boards. to engage in illegal, unlawful, or tortuous conduct or other conduct that interferes with VocalNet Inc.’s ability to provide service or interferes with the rights of others including, but not limited to libel, invasion of privacy, consumer fraud, unauthorized dissemination of trade secrets, violation of the trademark laws, hacking, or transmittal of commercially restricted information.
You should be aware that in keeping with federal and state law, VocalNet, Inc., in response to court order or specified legal process or certain kinds of emergency governmental requests, may disclose customer information such as the content of e-mail.
Credit Card Policy
You are authorizing VocalNet, Inc. to charge your credit card account for Internet Services that may accrue from month to month. Your account will automatically renew on your renewal date for the preauthorized plan and payment will be applied if a credit card is on file. No refunds will be issued. VocalNet, Inc. will not be held responsible for any bank fees.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted IN WRITING before your scheduled renewal date. Email requests can be sent to billing@vocal-net.net or mailed to:

Privacy Policy
VocalNet is sensitive to privacy issues with respect to the use of customer information provided to us over the Internet. It is our belief that our customers should know how we handle sensitive customer information. Online privacy focuses mainly on the protection of "customer identifiable" information (e.g. name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.) that our users would deem "confidential".
We believe that data security is a real threat to the privacy of our valued customers. Because of this, we take reasonable measures to maintain data accuracy and integrity while safeguarding against loss and/or misuse. Although we actively and aggressively fight to maintain the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee data integrity in certain cases, including but not limited to: hardware failure, virus, or third-party “hackers”.
VocalNet categorically does not sell any customer information to a third party. Information collected during the registration process is intended to be used solely to manage customer accounts and aid in our billing process. However, in some special cases VocalNet may disclose personal information about our customers, or information regarding your use of the Services or Web sites accessible through our Internet Service, for any reason if, in our sole discretion, we believe that it is reasonable to do so, including: to satisfy laws, such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for such information; to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our Acceptable Use Policy or other user policies; to operate the Services properly; or to protect VocalNet and its customers.
